It feels so good to be back! This Queen Bee has been buzzing around like crazy with no time to stop and smell the roses… but I wouldn’t have it any other way! 2012 has officially been declared (by your highness herself) THE YEAR OF THE BEE. In case you were wondering, I’ve been traveling the country on my most recent adventure with the International Motorcycle Shows, where I work in the Rider Connection Booth and give free ROCKtheGEAR seminars on the Learning Curve stage about motorcycle safety apparel and how to make sure it fits correctly. To read more about the tour, you can visit www.MotorcycleShows.com. So, no, I have not disappeared! On the contrary, I’ve been meeting tons of amazing new people and making loads of exciting new plans for 2012.

Here’s the short version of where I’ve been since my last post:

December 2-4, 2011: Boise, Idaho. Special Guest at the Idaho Star Motorcycle Safety Program winter update. Here, I talked to the majority of the Motorcycle Safety Instructors in the state of Idaho about the importance of giving their students what they deserve – for us to lead by example and wear ATGATT at every opportunity, not just the “minimum” required long sleeve t-shirt and 3/4 helmet. It’s not about us, our comfort or convenience, it’s about the STUDENTS getting the BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE in ONE SHOT over a single weekend. All the gear, every time!

December 9-11, 2011: Long Beach, California. International Motorcycle Shows.

December 16-18, 2011: Seattle, Washington. International Motorcycle Shows.

January 6-8, 2012: Detroit, Michigan. International Motorcycle Shows.

January 13-15, 2012: Washington, DC. International Motorcycle Shows.

January 20-22, 2012: New York City, New York. International Motorcycle Shows.

January 27-29, 2012: Cleveland, Ohio. International Motorcycle Shows.

February 3-5, 2012: Minneapolis, Minnesota. International Motorcycle Shows.

February 10-12, 2012: Chicago, Illinois. International Motorcycle Shows.

This brings us up-to-date. I still have two more stops on the IMS tour before all is said and done. After that, the YEAR OF THE BEE will continue. There are so many announcements to make, I don’t know where to start! I’ll leave you all with a tiny taste of what is to come…

1. Book 2. Internship 3. Fundraising 4. Memorial 5. Certification

How’s that for a teaser?

How has being a rider taught you to be in control both on and off the bike? How have you changed into a Queen Bee since you started riding? We want to share your story with the world!

Here’s a preview of Chapter Seven: Independent Women – What it Means to Rule:

“When I first began, I stalled it often. I’d get stuck in some soft sand or chicken-out going over an intimidating razor back. But practice makes perfect and after a couple seasons I was as good, or faster, than the rest of the guys in our group. At night, when the wives and girlfriends sat around by the fire talking, I’d go on night rides with the boys. I became the wheelie queen, popping my front tires up at every opportunity and I’d sit at the bottom of hills waiting for someone to take on the challenge and race me to the top. I fulfilled childhood dreams of becoming a rider that could do anything and could rock four wheels or two. ” – Brittny Cleveland

“My motorcycle is my throne, as it has taught me so much about being independent, decisive, and not afraid to both know what I want and fight for it. So much of today’s society teaches us to go with the status quo, to follow the crowd, to blend into the masses. As women, we are bombarded with images of what it means to be perfect thousands of times every day, and forced to question everything about ourselves. Being a rider means being responsible for yourself on the highest level. There is no second guessing yourself when your life is in your hands. As a rider, I have learned to apply the kind of confidence I must have on a bike to everything about me. Life is too short to be anything but the best version of myself. I am not ashamed of who I am, what I believe, who I love, and what I do. I know what it means to rule because I am a Queen Bee in every aspect of my life.” – Brittany Morrow

“I have a very unique perspective of what it means to “fall” as a motorcyclist. I went through a literal beating and had to make the choice to get up and keep fighting… for my life. The damage to my body was equal to the emotional and mental suffering, and the battle to heal both inside and out was a long and hard one. Not everyone will have an experience like that (I sure as hell hope not) but that doesn’t mean you haven’t had your own mountain to climb. Every one of you is a survivor of your own life.

Yesterday morning, I woke up to the news that the world had lost an amazing talent and spirit. Marco Simoncelli, MotoGP 250cc World Champion in 2008, was killed in a horrific crash during a race in Malaysia. As I watched the race, which had been recorded on the DVR from the night before, my heart was pounding from the knowledge of what was to come. When the crash happened, I felt helpless and distraught. I wanted to jump through my TV and help him, hug his father, comfort his fellow racers… anything. There was nothing I could do, nothing anyone could do. I cried like a baby for someone I had never met but felt such a connection with. We shared a love for two-wheeled worship and nothing could take that away.

I realize now that shared passion is what drives all of us riders to treat each other like family rather than strangers. We might not like the same style of bike or have the same cruising speed of choice. We might not wear the same amount of gear or ride with the same kinds of people. I might never stop in at your favorite watering hole, and you might think my strict riding rituals are ridiculous. Regardless of all of these factors, we will still hold each other up when spirits are down, and we will still have each others backs when the stakes are high. Because we all love and fight for the same wind, the same road, the same sun, the same throttle twist and the same freedom.

Every time we ride, we risk our lives… that’s a fact we have all “accepted” as riders. Of course we do not think it will ever happen to us until it does. In this case, it happened to someone that the world loved as the world watched. The most important thing I take away from this is that, as riders, we all took a hit yesterday, but together we will get back up. We will forge ahead and continue on, just as Marco had done after every other crash he had ever been involved in. He was a warrior and he fought for what he loved. In that sense, he will live on inside all of us as the warrior within as we fight for what we love.” – Brittany Morrow

Last week, we talked about your inner strength and how motorcycling can help to unlock your full potential. This week, we want to know how you used that strength to conquer your biggest challenge. Whether your struggle is motorcycle related or not, as a rider, you have the ability to rise up, move on and even prosper. We look forward to reading your stories of victory in the face of adversity, and how being a motorcyclist helped you overcome whatever it was that knocked you down.

“The rows of bikers had tripled at the bottom of the hill since I first arrived, so I decided to head down Oldsmobile and take some pictures of the gorgeous chrome machines people brought out and then head back to camp. Little did I know that a negligent mechanic job was about to put me in the worst pain I’d ever endured. As soon as I made the turn to cruise down the first row of people, a shrilling burning sensation came out of nowhere and engulfed my right foot. I instinctively killed my engine and yanked off my shoe and sock, completely unaware of what had happened. A man ran over and poured his beer on my foot, but the alcohol only worsened my pain. “Your radiator hose popped off,” he said. “All that fluid just went in your shoe…” – Brittny Cleveland

To share your story, send an email by November 1st to Submit@QueenBMoto.com or QueenBSubmission@yahoo.com.

As women, we are powerful beyond measure. We are bold, brave, headstrong, stubborn, determined, and passionate. We want to know how you discovered that you were strong enough to do anything. Was it during your first solo ride? Was it a cross-country trip that pushed you beyond your comfort zone? Was it a first-place finish in a race? Share your story and show the world that women are capable of amazing things – especially when you add a motorcycle and a little empowerment to the mix.

Send us an email at Submit@QueenBMoto.com by November 1st to contribute to Queen Bees!

Here’s a preview of Chapter Five – More Than Just a Bike: How Motorcycling Empowers Me.

“I hopped on my bike, trying to put all fears aside and just do what I loved to do; I clicked into gear and nervously let out the clutch. The sand was much more difficult to turn in and when I went into the small dunes, I found my dirt bike was the one in control – not me. I’d try to pick a line in the dunes like I’d always done on my quad, but if my dirt bike leaned a different way, I followed. It felt like I couldn’t stop and I was scared I wouldn’t even be able to turn around and make it back to camp, but at least I hadn’t fallen over (yet)! In an attempt to be more aggressive, I dumped my bike on the side of a dune and killed the engine. Now, I was really being put to the test!” – Brittny Cleveland

“Everyone has a birthday – a day where you and everyone else can celebrate another year of your life. September 25th is not my birthday, no, it is my Life Day. In 2005, I made a choice to hop on the back of a friend’s sportbike and go for a ride. There was nothing special about that Sunday. The sun was shining, the lizards were crawling, and the wind was blowing like it always does in New Mexico. Little did I know that I was going to discover my destiny because of what was about to happen. That horrible accident changed my life forever. Six years later, I have learned so much about myself, life, love, hard work, happiness, and what “meant to be” really means. I now have a purpose, a responsibility, a passion that I might never have known or experienced without motorcycling. I feel a little like a superhero sometimes because I was built for this – heart, soul, body and spirit.” – Brittany

Teddy Roosevelt said, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” I guess that means we’re almost finished! Ok, maybe not that close, but we’re absolutely halfway there already! I cannot express to you all the joy this project has brought to my life. Over the past 5 weeks, we’ve covered the first four chapters of Queen Bees: Women Riders Who Rule the Street, Track and Dirt. I’d like to thank each and every rider that has submitted a story to us thus far. It’s been quite a joy reading through the hearts and souls of the people who make this sport what it is, and without a doubt, it’s the women who make it special. I’m rather thrilled with the response so far, but we need you to continue to submit, spread the word, and encourage others to tell their stories. This book would be nothing without you, so we need you to keep up the great work! Don’t ever let anyone tell you that your story is not worth telling… I will gladly hit them over the head with this thing once it’s finished, and what a doozie it’s gonna be. – Brittany Morrow

We spent months collaborating and brain-storming for the book; imagining the possibilities of this project and what stories we’d receive from fellow lady riders around the globe. When we finally put the word out for our plans, I found myself over-whelmed and excited by the amazing feedback we’d received. Our inbox has been flooded with heart-felt submissions from courageous women who twist the throttle. I’ve met so many wonderful girls because of this book and many new friendships have been built. I’ve found comfort in knowing that I’m not alone in this male-dominated sport; there are many girls, like me, who’d rather spend time shifting gears than spending time at the mall – not giving a damn if we break nail! This book has inspired me to make it as successful as possible. It takes a strong and fearless woman to ride her own bike; we’re a rare breed and our stories must be heard. I wake up every morning eager to read new submissions and working toward uniting a strong sisterhood of motorcycling mamas! – Brittny Cleveland

In the spirit of celebrating a milestone, we have decided to pause for a moment and highlight a few of our favorite submissions and the wonderful women behind the stories. We hope you enjoy this preview of the first half of the book – perhaps it will inspire you or someone you know to share something special with us. Read and ride on, queen bees!

Chapter One: Method to the Madness – Why I Ride

We invite you to share with us your story; your reason for riding, your method to the madness. Chapter one is all about breaking down the walls and sharing who we really are with the world for the first time. We thought no better subject than the reasoning behind why we do what we do.

Stephanie Pietz, model and dirt-biker from Arizona, is a favorite of ours because she breaks the stereotype that pretty blondes don’t like to get dirty and can’t keep up with the boys. “Seeing your friends around you, like a pack of wild animals ripping through the desert, is an almost primitive feeling. There’s no separation of sexes, everyone is dressed the same, riding the same, all having a great time. Considering the industry I’m in and the work I do, there’s a lot of criticism and judgment. When I am out riding with the boys, all of that is gone; I’m just another rider.”

Chapter Two: Seeking the Missing Piece – How I Discovered Riding

How did you discover your passion for the two-wheeled way of life? Did you stumble upon the opportunity, or was it handed to you on a silver platter? Regardless of where you are now, you had to start somewhere… and the path that led you to motorcycling is unique to every individual. There is no “right way”, there is only your way. Share it with the world, and give thanks to those who led you here.

“I sat back and realized that even though it was one of the most painful times in my entire life, I had survived it and I would come out it of just fine. With this new frame of mind, I decided that being afraid was no longer how I would live my life. I was 35 years old and started looking into learning to ride a motorcycle.” Dawn Chappell writes about her journey into the world of motorcycling. She began her riding career on a Suzuki VStrom but then switched to a Suzuki SV 650S. She is a beloved volunteer at the Annual Women’s Sportbike Rally in Deal’s Gap.

Chapter Three: Addiction in the Making – My First Ride

Think back to the moment you first threw a leg over and sat down, anticipating that in just a few short minutes you would be moving forward. Even as brand new riders, we are taught to always look where we want to go. However, looking back at where you started can be a reminder of who you’ve become. Laugh, cry, and shake your head in disbelief that you even survived – it’s a celebration on many levels. What is your story?

Some of us were raised on wheels; fortunate to have parents who helped develop our passion for riding at an early age. But, for other women, motorcycles came later in life, like Donna Palladino. Donna and her husband Jerry are well known for their police-style training system: RIDE LIKE A PRO. “I was always over-thinking every move I made on my bike instead of just riding it and telling it what to do,” Donna said. “It is very true what my husband says; riding is 90% mental and 10% physical. I finally made it out of my driveway, turned right onto our street and never looked back.”

Chapter Four: Home is Where the Heart is – My Favorite Place to Ride

Have you left your heart on a low desert trail, or high on a mountain pass? Does your soul reside on the sweltering surface of a track? We understand. In fact, we’re right there with you. All of us. We spend our days dreaming of the moment we set our course for that special place where everything in the world is right, and we are whole once again. We find peace in the chaos and beauty in the grit, and a small part of ourselves changes, grows, evolves every time we visit. Where is your favorite place to ride?

J. Kaushik writes about a journey along the Indus River, which is responsible for the name of the country we know today as India. The ride includes traveling through the Himilaya Mountains on the highest elevation road in the world, and it is all done on a 2005 Enfield Bullet. “The Indus, by now huge enough to command the reverence reserved for a goddess, moved parallel to the road, occasionally crossing it beneath feeble bridges in its haste to reach the Arabian Sea. At one such crossing, I collected a handful of silt and a bottle of water from the river as a memento of the journey. “

Keep your eyes peeled for the launch of the back half of the book next week. The final four chapters cover some heavier subjects, so be prepared to be inspired, moved, and ready to share! They are listed below so you can start getting ready now, no excuses. Most importantly, keep it up, fellow queen bees – we are so proud to be a part of such an amazing group of women!

So where is your favorite place to ride? Share your passion, your secret, yourself with the world.

Cell phones are put away and home cooked meals are made over an open fire; dinner never tasted so good and you don’t mind the little crunch of sand every now and then. It’s a place where not just anyone can survive and conquer, it’s a place for the savages, the rebels, the ones who aren’t scared to get dirty or shift a gear higher.” – Brittny Cleveland

“I’ve been many places on this planet… Japan, Korea, Taiwan, many islands in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, and 40 of the states in the US. I’ve ridden the world-famous Tail of the Dragon, Sandia Crest, the Jemez mountains, Natural Bridge, Ohio 555, Red River, Cherohala Skyway, and many other great roads. Nothing, and I truly mean nothing, compares to 14 West from Ranchester to Greybull. If I could plan the perfect day, it would include that ride. Absolutely and amazing are the only two words I have to describe it. The purple and yellow flowers grow wild in fields that reach all the way to the horizon and it smells like pine trees and sweet summer blooms. The air is cooler and the sun shines brighter. It just feels like a magical place.” – Brittany Morrow

There’s a term amongst motorcyclists that describes a rider who is either extremely wet behind the ears, rides beyond his/her skill level, wears little to no gear, or is extremely reckless by nature. We call these riders “squids” and the origin is actually somewhat of a controversial subject. Some say it originated on a SoCal racetrack, where the less-skilled and less-experienced riders were called “squirrelly kids”. It later was shortened to just “squids”. Other say it’s an acronym for many different things, one of which being Stupid Quick Underdressed and Imminently Dead. The attitude the motorcycle community has about “squids” is evident when visiting UrbanDictionary.com and reading the definitions. If you are labeled as a squid, it could be for many different reasons – but the most common reason is for doing things that more experienced riders would call STUPID.

The next time you see a motorcyclist riding down the road without a helmet, or in shorts and flip-flops – remember my story. Before you write the rider off as an idiot and someone who is destined to be the victim of their own actions, remember that person is someone’s son or daughter, someone’s brother or sister, someone’s mom or dad, someone’s husband or wife, someone’s aunt or uncle, someone’s cousin, someone’s coworker, someone’s true love, someone’s high school crush, someone’s best friend, someone’s neighbor, someone’s only hope for happiness…

I was one of those “stupid people” who didn’t wear all of my gear. I was worse than a squid, I was the squidly pillion of a squid, but I was also someone’s daughter, sister, wife, cousin, best friend, coworker, high school crush, and neighbor. Don’t be so quick to think that I didn’t wear my gear because I knew what could happen. On the contrary, only a few very unlucky people know the true consequences, the reality of the situation, and the weight that this decision actually carries. I didn’t wear all of my gear because no one had ever shaken me by the shoulders and told me this:

“If you don’t wear your gear, you will rip off all of your skin. It will hurt like hell for a long time… pain you cannot even imagine. You will rack up over half a million dollars worth of medical bills. You will put your family through the worst experience of their entire lives. Your amazing father, your daddy, will have to leave the hospital room on several occasions because of your screams in pain. Your husband will never come to visit you in the hospital, nor will he call or write to see how you are doing. You will know what it is like to be truly alone for the first time in your life. Your parents will be forced to miss work, lose sleep, drive to the hospital, and fear for your life every day for nearly 2 months. The financial burden on yourself and your family for the next several years will be large. You will lose your job. You will lose your ability to join the military and serve your country. You will lose the ability to walk and move on your own. You will never have beautiful skin again. You will lose all of your beautiful hair. You will spend your mother’s birthday in a hospital gown and a wheelchair. The emotional stress from this accident will affect you until the day you die. You will lose full motion in your knees for the rest of your life and they will be in constant pain. People will stare at you in the gym, in restaurants… hell, people will stare at you everywhere. You will never be fully free of the consequences of this decision. And all of this is what you are choosing when you choose not to wear gear.”

So, no, I had no idea what I was getting myself into… and neither do many of the riders out there today. This is not common sense, many people never even hear this message. This is where we have failed in the past – we have ALL failed. We shake our heads and move along instead of taking the time to educate the public on the truth. It is so easy to call someone stupid and look the other way, but what would you want someone to do for that rider if they were your son, your daughter, your best friend, your husband or wife, your sister or brother? The list of people you would hope hear this message goes on and on, and yet you choose not to help educate a perfect stranger. Where is the sense in that? When did we become so knowledgeable and special that we didn’t have the responsibility to pass along the all-important message? I sense a great lack of willingness to not only improve ourselves as riders, but to help others improve as well. Get this through your head – our need for learning is never finished.

I am hell-bent on changing the way riders receive TRUE education about the consequences of riding without proper gear, proper training and proper attitude. By all means, I understand that it’s not just about the gear. However, the subject of gear is where I have a God-given ability to pull back the curtain and show people what the rest of the world is too scared, lazy, or “important” to show riders. Sadly enough, there are more out there who have also been through what I have. I hope you are fortunate enough to have never experienced a crash like mine. Help me keep it that way for yourself, your families, and the riders who you otherwise would shake your head at. If you want things to change, it MUST start with us. I can tell you now that it makes a huge difference, even when you feel as if you’re the only one doing it. Spread the message, lead by example, and change someone’s life.

Just like our first real kiss is forever engrained in our memories, we will never forget what it was like to ride a motorcycle for the first time. Whether you learned in a driveway, the woods in your backyard, on a training range or a track… all riders have been in the same position. The best part about becoming a motorcyclist is that you can do it at any age, and there is no such thing as someone who “missed the bike”. No matter how many miles, races, rallies, or championships we stake claim to today, we were once as green as can be. We’ve all got to start somewhere.

Think back to the moment you first threw a leg over and sat down, anticipating that in just a few short minutes you would be moving forward. Were you terrified? Were you excited? Did your hands shake when you squeezed or pressed the throttle for the first time? Some say that first ride changed their lives forever. Others have said it took several tries before getting over a fear that would have kept them from becoming a motorcyclist altogether. Several people never had a doubt, and took off like the wind itself at the first opportunity. Even as brand new riders, we are taught to always look where we want to go. However, looking back at where you started can be a reminder of who you’ve become. Laugh, cry, and shake your head in disbelief that you even survived – it’s a celebration on many levels. What is your story?

An excerpt from Chapter Three of Queen Bees: Women Riders who Rule the Street, Track and Dirt -

“As the time neared for my first real big ride, I remember watching other groups of riders head out from their camps to go play in nature’s giant sand box and wondering what it was going to be like out on those big hills and how it’d feel to go full speed. All the children in our camp suited up and started their motors. I climbed on the quad I was borrowing from my cousin and my uncle came over to me and said through his helmet, “Stay in the line at all times, make sure you keep good space between the one in front of you and don’t be scared to give it gas.” Uncle Bill rubbed the back of my helmet and walked to the front of the line to get on his old Honda three-wheeler. My Aunt held up the back of the line on her ATC, identical to her husband’s. We all gave our Uncle a big, thumbs up, and rolled out for the hills. I felt a combination of anxiety and thrill, something I‘d never felt before.” – Brittny Cleveland

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone is born to be wild. For those of us who are, only some become riders. Motorcycling exists in mainstream media all over the world, but it’s the real people who ride who make this sport what it truly is. There are riders hiding in the cracks and crevices of society, seek them out and you might find them in the most unexpected of places. How does one become a motorcyclist? From where does the desire, the privilege, and the circumstance to become part of such an elite group emerge?

Some believe its the motorcycle gods who live in the shadows, waiting for the day to convert yet another wayward soul. Many see us as a pack of wolves seeking new members, who are not interested in allowing just any stray dog off the street to join our pack. For others, they say it’s in a biker’s blood from the beginning – just a way of life they’ve always known.

So who recruited you to the dark side? How did you discover your passion for the two-wheeled way of life? Did you stumble upon the opportunity, or was it handed to you on a silver platter? Regardless of where you are now, you had to start somewhere… and the path that led you to motorcycling is unique to every individual. There is no “right way”, there is only your way. Share it with the world, and give thanks to those who led you here.

An excerpt from Chapter Two of Queen Bees: Women Riders who Rule the Street, Track and Dirt -

“Without ever realizing it before now, motorcycles have been a part of my life since before I was born. Although I was not born into a household of bikers, my family did have a huge part in leading me towards the lifestyle of a rider. Always a tomboy seeking the next adventure, I found it mainly in backyards and basements playing “cops and robbers” or “knights and dragons” with my little brother and the neighborhood boys… this later translated to my thirst for the thrill and speed so many in my family had already indirectly exposed me to. When I look back at my life experiences in chronological order, my passion for motorcycles starts to make perfect sense. When it comes to matters of the heart, bikes have always played a huge part. I didn’t choose to love motorcycling, motorcycling chose me.” – Brittany Morrow

There are many groups that I hold close to my heart. I find my most favorite people are those who have dedicated a part of their lives to the service of others. The military is at the very top of this list. Not only have these men and women committed their entire lives to the service of others, but those “others” happen to be me, my friends and family, and the rest of the country. I have some personal experience giving safety presentations with the Air Force, Marine Corp and Army. I was a USAF dependent in Okinawa, Japan for three years. Several of my best friends were in the military, or have husbands who are currently serving (or are scheduled to be very soon) overseas. It’s a 24 hour job and lifestyle that takes a special soul… one that I believe is worth more than all others.

I sit here, humbled by my ability to type freely and openly about anything I want without fear of oppression. I did not earn this right, nor was it given to me at any small cost. No, this creative outlet – my silly blog – this sharing of information was bought and paid for just a moment ago. The bill is posted every second of every day, and someone else pays it for me every time. Not because I deserve it, or because I worked for it, but because someone else made the conscious choice to give me this gift for the rest of my life. Without these people I would have nothing and be nothing, for it is my ability to fully and wholeheartedly express myself that defines me. I don’t know who I am without the freedom to take a stand, shout a message, and tell a story.

Anytime a member of the military seeks help, it pulls on my heartstrings to do whatever it takes to get that person what they need. A motorcycling military member in need is a beast that demands my immediate and full attention. It is my full belief that it demands your attention as well. Whatever your political, economical, social, religious and personal views are… I urge you to throw them aside for a few moments and take notice of your freedom. If you feel the need to say “thank you” to someone who has paid your bill, there are countless ways to give back to the military and show your support for their sacrifice. I beg you to find one that is close to your heart and tell these men and women that youare grateful to them for your life, and for who you get to be every day.

Here is just one of the ways in which you can help out a military member, who also happens to be a motorcyclist:

In early April, SSgt Zackary Tenorio, US Army, Operation Iraqi Freedom, was in a terrible motorcycle accident near Fort Bragg. The accident left him in a coma for a month and a half, in addition to several other injuries. Upon waking up, he found himself in a strange place, unable to remember what happened or much of anything else from the six months prior to the accident. Over the next six months, Zack will be facing a very long road to recovery. He and his family are from Guam, and his mother and aunt have flown to the east coast to be with him during this time.

A poker run will be held at 11am on August 20, 2011 at Hooters South in Oklahoma City. The event’s purpose is to help offset the cost of travel for SSgt Tenorio’s family. Registration fees will be $25 for single riders, $35 for rider and passenger. You can also buy an extra card for $10. Prizes will be awarded for high and low hand, raffle, and door prizes. Even if you cant come, tell all your friends. If you want to donate without riding, contact Garrett Coulson, USAF at: tenoriopokerrun@yahoo.com.

You can also visit the Facebook page for this event here: Tenorio Benefit Poker Run

“For those of you who might not remember “Zack” He was the escort for the MIA/KIA SSgt. Glenn Webb mission in Wetumka this past year. I remember him well, standing there at attention at the head of the casket during the entire service. He is a family man and excellent Soldier. I will definitely be there and encourage all others to make every effort to attend also….” – Kory Michael Thompson
