So many things have come to fruition since I started planning this amazing journey.  Just like it always does, the route has changed a bit from what I first outlined – no epicness sacrificed whatsoever. I picked up the 2012 Kawasaki Concours 14 yesterday and man, oh man is she beautiful!  I can’t wait to hit the road and see what the wild child and I can get ourselves into.

Here’s the new route outline:

I have one more update for you before I leave tomorrow morning – I’ll be doing a video of all my getting-ready-ish activities like installing my Powerlet accessories and packing with some very special moto-touring bags. I’ll also post an up-t0-date list of all the contributors and give them a huge THANK YOU for their donations to the Survivor Ride. Then it’s off to bed for one more night of sleep on my beloved memory foam mattress before hitting the trail! If you’re in the Las Vegas, Nevada area tomorrow night, come see me at the Mandalay Bay hotel and Casino where I’ll be spreading the word about the Survivor Ride Project.

THE SURVIVOR RIDE

On July 7th, 2012, I will be departing on a 4500 mile, 9 day motorcycle ride to bring attention to the often forgotten SURVIVORS of breast cancer. These women and men face a lifelong battle and are in desperate need of ongoing medical attention, psychological care, hope and encouragement, and most of all: the help and support of others.  I aim to bring attention to this specific issue created by breast cancer to show everyone how they have an opportunity to make a difference. My journey was inspired by the Women Who Ride CONGA and is meant to further contribute to the efforts of this amazing group. Become a “spirit rider” from anywhere in the world by donating here: DONATE TO CONGA FOR THE CAUSE. My journey will be benefiting The Scar Project and Reach to Recovery International. You can follow me on my ride at #SurvivorRide via Twitter this summer. CLICK HERE to donate or learn more about my epic journey on the #SurvivorRide.
