It feels so good to be back! This Queen Bee has been buzzing around like crazy with no time to stop and smell the roses… but I wouldn’t have it any other way! 2012 has officially been declared (by your highness herself) THE YEAR OF THE BEE. In case you were wondering, I’ve been traveling the country on my most recent adventure with the International Motorcycle Shows, where I work in the Rider Connection Booth and give free ROCKtheGEAR seminars on the Learning Curve stage about motorcycle safety apparel and how to make sure it fits correctly. To read more about the tour, you can visit http://www.MotorcycleShows.com. So, no, I have not disappeared! On the contrary, I’ve been meeting tons of amazing new people and making loads of exciting new plans for 2012.
Here’s the short version of where I’ve been since my last post:
December 2-4, 2011: Boise, Idaho. Special Guest at the Idaho Star Motorcycle Safety Program winter update. Here, I talked to the majority of the Motorcycle Safety Instructors in the state of Idaho about the importance of giving their students what they deserve – for us to lead by example and wear ATGATT at every opportunity, not just the “minimum” required long sleeve t-shirt and 3/4 helmet. It’s not about us, our comfort or convenience, it’s about the STUDENTS getting the BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE in ONE SHOT over a single weekend. All the gear, every time!
December 9-11, 2011: Long Beach, California. International Motorcycle Shows.
December 16-18, 2011: Seattle, Washington. International Motorcycle Shows.
January 6-8, 2012: Detroit, Michigan. International Motorcycle Shows.
January 13-15, 2012: Washington, DC. International Motorcycle Shows.
January 20-22, 2012: New York City, New York. International Motorcycle Shows.
January 27-29, 2012: Cleveland, Ohio. International Motorcycle Shows.
February 3-5, 2012: Minneapolis, Minnesota. International Motorcycle Shows.
February 10-12, 2012: Chicago, Illinois. International Motorcycle Shows.
This brings us up-to-date. I still have two more stops on the IMS tour before all is said and done. After that, the YEAR OF THE BEE will continue. There are so many announcements to make, I don’t know where to start! I’ll leave you all with a tiny taste of what is to come…
1. Book 2. Internship 3. Fundraising 4. Memorial 5. Certification
How’s that for a teaser?
